This new range features watches available in two distinct sizes: 31mm and 41mm, embracing the iconic Swiss railway station design and showcasing the brand's signature red second hand. The larger variant includes a chronograph function while retaining its clean and minimalist aesthetics. Drawing inspiration from vintage design, the timeless cushion-shaped case pays homage to Mondaine's rich history and heritage. It's a collection that breaks free from conventional circular designs, adding yet another iconic dimension to Mondaine's portfolio.
The organic and graceful cushion case design brings a contemporary elegance to both the dial and the case, exuding fluidity and non-conformity. These timepieces effortlessly transcend dress codes, adapting seamlessly from casual to elegant to sporty occasions.
Incorporating a square case with smoothly rounded corners, the Cushion Collection features a double-domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating, ensuring exceptional strength and scratch resistance. This crystal provides a clear view of the dial, while the ergonomic and elegant cushion shape makes it remarkably versatile. Its curvature allows clothing to glide over it, making it not only visually appealing but also comfortable to wear.
The Petite Cushion, designed with women in mind, boasts a perfect 31mm size that gracefully adorns smaller wrists. The stainless-steel case with a white dial is complemented by three distinct strap options: black vegan grape leather, red vegan grape leather, and a high-quality Milanese mesh stainless steel strap. The vegan grape leather, derived from the organic waste of wine production, exemplifies genuine upcycling.
In contrast, the Grand Cushion, the larger counterpart in the collection, sports a 41mm stainless steel case. It features an integrated date display and chronograph for precise timekeeping, all while maintaining its minimalist design ethos. The Grand Cushion comes in three dial colors: white, deep ocean blue, and forest green. The white dial is paired with a black strap crafted from innovative vegan grape leather. The blue and green dials are accompanied by textile straps made from recycled plastic bottles in matching hues and feature Super-LumiNova® white hands for optimal visibility in the dark.
Mondaine meticulously selected Super-LumiNova® pigments to align with the high Swiss quality standards for outstanding afterglow performance. All Grand Cushion models include a set of individually curated straps, as well as a Milanese mesh stainless steel strap for maximum versatility. The interchangeable strap system allows for effortless customisation, enabling multiple unique looks without the need for multiple watches.
