The Bauhaus reference is in the typography and proportions of the dial: clean, geometric, restrained. It reads as architectural rather than decorative.
The companion piece is the Doppio Bauhaus Stainless Steel 33mm. Same dial design, same strap, scaled down to 33mm with a silver dial that pairs more softly against a lighter outfit. Worn together, the pair reads as one design language at two scales — the closest thing to a matched set without being literal about it.
Pair two: Doppio Black on Stainless Steel
The second pair leans into the same Doppio family in a darker, more graphic register. The Doppio Black Stainless Steel 41mm reads as the more statement-led of the larger Doppios — a black dial against polished stainless steel, the signature double-index hand design at full presence. It works as easily under a sleeve at the office as it does on a dinner table.
For the 33mm partner piece, the Doppio Stainless Steel 33mm pulls the palette lighter — a silver dial on the same stainless steel case and strap. The contrast between black-dial 41mm and silver-dial 33mm is the more deliberate of the three pair choices in this edit. Worn side by side, the difference is visible enough to be intentional, without ever reading as mismatched.
Pair three: Essence — the minimalist couple's pair
For the couple that prefers minimal over architectural, our Essence family is the cleaner of the two design languages. The Essence Watch 41mm strips the dial back to the basics — white face, black indexes, the iconic red second hand, and a natural rubber strap. It's the design Mondaine is best known for, scaled up for everyday wear.
